BaoBot AI Assistant

BaoBot is Budgey's AI-powered assistant that helps you manage your budget. Here's how we handle your data when you use BaoBot:

• Local storage only: Your chat messages with BaoBot are stored locally on your device only
• No server storage: Your conversations are never stored on Budgey servers
• Secure processing: Messages are sent through a secure, private third-party AI provider for processing
• No AI training: Your conversations are not used to train AI models
• No retention: No chat history is retained server-side after the response is generated

When you interact with BaoBot, your messages are transmitted securely to generate helpful responses, but this data is processed in real-time and not stored or used for any other purpose.

Budget Sharing

Budgey allows you to optionally share budgets with others. Here's how sharing works:

• Always opt-in: Sharing is never automatic—your data is private by default
• You're in control: You invite specific people via email to access your budget
• Revocable access: You can revoke access at any time
• Shared visibility: Users you share with can view and contribute to the budget

Shared Notes (Budget Period Notes)

You can add notes to your budget periods to track context and decisions. Here's how we protect your notes:

• Notes within shared budgets are visible only to users with access to that budget
• Notes are not publicly accessible
• Note content is encrypted in transit

Data Collection

Budgey collects only the information required to provide you with our budgeting services. This includes:

• Account information (email address, name)
• Your budgeting data (budgets, categories, transactions)
• Preferences you set within the app
• Budget period notes you create

We do not sell, share, or distribute your data to third parties for marketing or any other purposes outside of providing our core services.
